The BSGE-RIGs Intermediate Laparoscopic Course is now open for registration. Announcing the course, Donna Ghosh & James McLaren, BSGE Trainee Representatives said that it would be practically orientated, covering the key procedures of the RCOG curriculum including Laparoscopic Salpingectomy and Ovarian Cystectomy as well as covering the relevant anatomy, instrumentation and laparoscopic suturing.

Trainees at ST3 level and above can register to attend the course, however Donna and James said that they felt it would best suit ST3-5 trainees. Applicants will be scored and selected on the basis of a 200-word brief stating why they feel they should attend the course, with priority being given to ST3-5 trainees.

The course will take place on the 23rd and 24th March 2018 at the KARL STORZ Training Centre in Slough. The heavily subsidised fee is just £250 and includes a course dinner. Places are strictly limited and are expected to be in high demand, so prompt application is recommended.

The Faculty will include BSGE Trainee Representatives Donna Ghosh and James McLaren together with CP Lim and Fevzi Shakir. Members who are interested in applying should download the registration form and email it to bsge@rcog.org.uk by 5 pm on 31st January. Successful delegates will be notified by 5th February, good luck!
