BSGE council member Fevzi Shakir is  running the British London Run this Sunday, 15th July 2018. It is  the fourth year he has taken part in the 10km run,  raising over £4,000 for Endometriosis UK to date.

Fevzi emphasised his motivation for taking part in the event:

‘Endometriosis is a condition which affects 1.5 Million women in the UK and can cause chronic pelvic pain, painful periods and intercourse, sub-fertility as well as many other manifestations.

As endometriosis is a benign condition, awareness and resources are not as great as for some other conditions. It is therefore important that we do all we can to help Endometriosis UK to raise awareness, and ultimately improve the quality of life of women throughout the UK.’

Fevzi encouraged BSGE members to support the charity through his Just Giving page:

‘It is a privilege to be able to help this charity yet again, and I am grateful for the support you all provide.
