We are inviting applications from enthusiastic BSGE members to join the BSGE Endometriosis Centres Subcommittee. We are expanding the committee to ensure it remains representative of the Society and continues to support improvements in endometriosis care across the UK.
Applicants should:
- Be a current BSGE member.
- Demonstrate an active professional interest in endometriosis care.
- Be able to commit sufficient time to attend meetings and complete work between meetings.
- Support the BSGE’s standards of governance, confidentiality, and data protection.
- Declare any relevant financial, commercial, institutional, or personal conflicts of interest.
- Demonstrate interest and experience in one or more of the following areas: research, training, digital development, or endometriosis centre accreditation.
We are committed to creating a balanced and diverse committee with representation across:
- England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland.
- Large tertiary centres as well as smaller or developing services.
- NHS and independent-sector practice, without over-representation from either.
- Consultants, trainees, and specialist nurses.
- Established leaders and emerging colleagues.
- Gender, ethnicity, and other dimensions of diversity.

- A concise CV (maximum two pages).
- A personal statement (maximum 300 words) outlining:
- Why you wish to join the Subcommittee.
- Which one (or a maximum of two) of the following workstreams you would like to contribute to: Digital Development, Research, Training, or Endometriosis Centre Accreditation.
- What you could realistically deliver during your first 12 months as a committee member.
- Confirmation that you are able to attend at least 75% of meetings.
- Any declaration of interests.
All applications will be reviewed by the Portfolio Chair and BSGE Officers, who will make the appointments.
Appointments will be for a term of up to three years. At the end of the term, members may reapply for a further appointment. There is no limit to the number of terms an individual may serve, subject to successful reapplication.
We encourage applications from all eligible members who are passionate about improving endometriosis care and helping shape the future of BSGE Endometriosis Centres.
