This is a 2 day workshop, with day 1 being in person at Birmingham Women’s Hospital and day 2 being a virtual live stream.

This course is designed for:

  • All those with an interest in benign gynaecological surgery, oncology and laparoscopic surgery
  • Those who are registered, or who plan to register, for the ‘Benign abdominal surgery: open and laparoscopic’, ‘Advanced laparoscopic surgery for the excision of benign disease’ or ‘oncology’ ATSM
  • Clinicians at all grades who are interested in developing their understanding of laparoscopic benign gynaecological surgery/oncology and those with the interest in learning to perform laparoscopic hysterectomy

Course organisers:

Mr Yousri Afifi– Consultant in Endometriosis and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery; Director of the Birmingham Endometriosis Centre, Birmingham Women’s Hospital.

Miss Kavita Singh– Consultant Gynaecologist & Gynaecological Oncologist, Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust.

Dr Lina Antoun–  ST7 Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Advanced Laparoscopy Trainee, Birmingham Women’s Hospital.
