It has been a privilege to serve on the BSGE Council since 2014.
From 2014 to 2017, I was first elected as a trainee and re-elected in 2016. My proudest accomplishment was founding the trainee group within the BSGE, RIGS (Registrars in Gynaecological Endoscopy). This initiative has flourished, and trainees now make up the majority of our society.
From 2017 to 2020, I was appointed to the senior council as Chair of Guidelines and Patient Information, then Chair of Website and Digital Governance. During this time, I contributed to the development of the BSGE Conference App, leading to our first paperless ASM.
Since 2021, I have served as Honorary Treasurer, digitising our book keeping processes, monitoring finances closely with new electronic systems, and developing packages such as Rhodium sponsorship. These efforts have ensured BSGE’s financial stability and culminated in the VAT registration of the Society, reflecting our growth.
As BSGE’s turnover nears £1M, managing sustainable growth remains a priority. If re-elected, I plan to implement a 5-year financial strategy focused on safe investments and clear financial procedures to ensure the Society’s continued success and security.
It would be an honour to continue serving as Treasurer for another two years, and I welcome the opportunity to contribute further to BSGE’s ongoing development.

Having been involved with BSGE since my training days, it has provided me with most incredible network of friends, colleagues and mentors. As a head of the local organising committee BSGE ASM 2025 in Leeds and a member of BSGE subcommittee for laparoscopic portfolio, I have explored the spectrum of exciting opportunities to work within the committee and amongst the members to develop various platforms and resources to aid training, research, international relationships and global health in minimally invasive gynaecology. I have wholeheartedly enjoyed my journey with BSGE and the invaluable training opportunities it offered me. I would like to continue as a senior council member to give it back to the future generations of gynaecology surgeons.
I am excited about BSGE ASM 2025 in Leeds and I hope it will enhance your surgical skills, knowledge as well as social circles. I am very enthusiastic about working within BSGE laparoscopic training subcommittee to strive for the highest standards in teaching, training and simulation. I have been facilitating, participating in advanced courses nationally and internationally and I am keen to share my experience and passion for training.
I am a consultant gynaecologist in Leeds Teaching Hospitals. I completed my training in Newcastle and Middlesbrough and specialise in advanced laparoscopic surgery particularly endometriosis. My other interest is research: I completed MD in molecular biology of cancer in Newcastle University and I am NIHR research lead for Women’s Health in Yorkshire & Humber as well as honorary senior lecturer at University of Leeds.

I am honoured to apply for re-election to the BSGE Senior Council. Over the past two years, I have been dedicated to strengthening BSGE’s International Relations portfolio, enhancing our global presence, fostering international collaborations, and increasing membership engagement.
During this time, we have successfully built strong relationships with key international societies, facilitating knowledge exchange and collaborative opportunities. With the support of a fantastic subcommittee, BSGE teams have delivered high-quality educational sessions at AAGL, ESGE, and EndoDubai, alongside invitations to AGES, ensuring our society remains highly visible on the global stage. I am proud to report that international membership has grown by over 30% since April 2024, reflecting BSGE’s increasing global influence.
If re-elected, I aim to further expand BSGE’s international network, develop new partnerships with leading global organisations, and create additional opportunities for cross-border collaboration in research, training, and education. My commitment remains to ensuring that BSGE continues to lead the way in endoscopic gynaecological surgery and endometriosis care worldwide.
I would be grateful for the opportunity to continue serving in this role and contributing to BSGE’s ongoing international growth and impact.
Thank you for your consideration.

BSGE has always been the mainstay of learning and development and I am humbled to present myself as Senior Trainees Representative. I am honoured to be a BSGE member for last 7 years. In all these years I have attended several conferences, training courses and webinars and presented my work as posters and oral presentations. I feel I am so indebted to this organization that I would like to serve in the council and take BSGE to new heights.
I am currently Advanced Laparoscopy ST7 trainee in Worcester Royal Hospital and Diagnostic subcommittee member at BSGE. I participated in regional Covid Recovery lap simulation programme in West Midlands and collated all the feedback from the trainees to improve and develop further projects like this. My work has recently been published in Journal of Minimally invasive Gynaecology (JMIG). I facilitated BSGE RIGS (Basic stream) in 2023 and served as faculty in BSGE RIGS (Basic, Intermediate and Advanced) in 2024.
As the subcommittee member of BSGE diagnostic subcommittee I am actively involved in developing ultrasound courses for minimally invasive gynaecologist and I am projected faculty for BSGE pre-ASM ultrasound course and RCOG pre congress ultrasound course.
If I am elected as a National trainee representative I will strive to enhance surgical and ultrasound training in the UK by improving engagement, access and awareness about various training opportunities. I will make sure that I bring innovative ideas across the table and help improve webinars and training courses. Your support will put me in.

As a ST7 Trainee at Darent Valley Hospital, my passion for minimally invasive surgery has been the driving force behind my career so far. I am in the final stages of completing the ATSM in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery for the Excision of Benign Disease, and have a passion for robotic surgery as the future of complex benign disease.
As the Regional BSGE Representative for the KSS Deanery, I have actively promoted laparoscopic surgery by leading courses and training days, fostering a culture of learning in both theory and practical skills from beginner to advanced.
Additionally, my current role in the BSGE Robotics Subcommittee has allowed me an insight into the development of this evolving surgical technique, and I am truly passionate about the BSGE leading the way in the development of strong robotic training for the benign gynaecologist of the future. I aim to drive forward the RCOG Robotic SITM programme and further develop local and national robotic surgery teaching. My goal is to ensure senior trainees have access to high-quality, structured training that aligns with the BSGE’s mission of advancing surgical education.
My ambitions to contribute positively to the BSGE’s mission of improving surgical training in gynaecology would involve dedicated, enthusiastic and impactful leadership for senior trainees, and I would be so grateful if you could consider me as your representative to expand the future of your surgical training with the BSGE.

I am ST5 in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the Wales Deanery. I am passionate about laparoscopic surgery and aspire to be a consultant practising advanced laparoscopic surgery.
I proactively chase my goals and strategize to efficiently achieve what I desire and deserve. So far in my career I have built a good research portfolio, done national and international presentations, developed leadership skills, held key leadership positions, and also won a national award.
I like to challenge my limits and I quickly adapt and prosper in new circumstances. This virtue has helped me rank 2nd nationally in the specialty recruitment interviews in 2022 and I chose to train in the Wales deanery.
Besides laparoscopic surgery, with a keen interest in medical education, I have completed PG Diploma in medical education. I truly believe I can represent, bring enthusiasm among my fellow trainees, and positively support them in their journey for learning minimal access gynaecologic surgery.
Being a regional RIGS representative, I am acquainted with the responsibilities of the position in BSGE and I am capable of efficiently fulfilling these. Having completed MRCOG exams would allow me to have an un-wavered commitment to this role.
I also look forward to using the platform to form new friends, share with and learn from others, and network with the other BSGE representatives. I am confident that this position will facilitate me to add essence to training and also be instrumental in my journey to becoming a fully trained laparoscopic surgeon.
