About Leeds

Leeds sits right at the heart of West Yorkshire, where a modern, vibrant energy meets a rich historical backdrop. This is a city that truly has it all – from striking Victorian architecture and buzzing cultural life to innovative spaces for work and discovery. Strolling through Leeds, you’ll encounter landmarks like the stunning Leeds Town Hall, the beautifully crafted Corn Exchange, and the intricate Victorian shopping arcades, all of which make the city’s heritage come alive.

Most importantly, our venue for this year’s event is the renowned Royal Armouries Museum, a landmark in its own right. Home to the UK’s national collection of arms and armour, the museum is a captivating space that blends the historical with the cutting-edge – the perfect setting for the BSGE ASM 2025.

Leeds is also a leading hub for healthcare and medical research in the UK. With the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust- one of the country’s largest and most advanced hospital networks- specialists here have access to top-tier facilities and expertise. The University of Leeds is another key part of the city’s thriving medical community, offering a wealth of opportunities for groundbreaking research and professional growth, especially in women’s health.

Whether it’s the mix of history and modernity, the dedication to health innovation, or the sense of community, Leeds brings it all together, making it the perfect location for this event.
