Objective

This workshop offers consultants and trainees hands-on experience with the da Vinci Xi surgical system and will offer small groups a high level of interaction. With demonstrations on set-up, suturing, dissection, and other core skills applicable to robotic-assisted surgery, the workshop will utilise dry lab and simulation models.

Description

During the day there will be an opportunity to engage with all the attendees and ask questions and also get opportunity to:

  • Learn about the Intuitive Gen 4 Technology – which will include a hands on experience workshop,
  • Experience Intuitive digital platforms- My Intuitive App and SimNow,
  • Test drive Intuitive Advanced Energy instruments,
  • Hear from an Intuitive proctor and learn about their journey.

After this workshop, attendees will aim to:

  • Understand the basic working elements of the da Vinci Xi system,
  • Be familiar with instrument use, handling, camera control, needle driving, suturing, and dissection (in virtual reality), dry lab, and simulations,
  • Understand the basics of set up and use of the da Vinci Xi system.
