BSGE Provisional Centre

Any unit wishing to set up an endometriosis centre may need some time to establish, so to support them whilst they grow their service it is possible to register as a provisional centre.

A provisional centre will be able to use the database and if after a complete year they have achieved surgical treatment of 12 cases of surgery for RVE and complied with the other requirements for full accreditation they will become a BSGE accredited centre.

Similarly any accredited centre who has a service but their numbers of surgical treatment of RVE fall below the required 12 cases will move from an accredited centre to a provisional centre for one year. If numbers remain below 12 cases in that year the unit will be de-recognised.
